We had a lovely lunch here , the entire menu looked really nice so we went for the homemade beef shiraz pie and it was one of the nicest pies I’ve ever had . I had the cellar door shiraz and it was divine (I bought a bottle to go ) . Views are just spectacular and so peaceful. You can sit inside or outside . Staff were lovely .
I highly recommend this gem of a place . Dog friendly also .

Can’t wait to come back .

We booked the winery for a ladies' afternoon tea, (20 of us), and we couldn't have asked for a better place to be. We were welcomed warmly, had a choice of 4 cakes, (catering for Gluten-free, too) and our choice of coffees and teas. The staff were efficient, friendly and helpful, too. One or two of us partook in a tipple, enjoying their SBS and Moscato along with their cheese platters. Oooh, the cheese was delicious and plenty of it.

We stopped for lunch on the drive from Perth to Walpole. It was the perfect break. Amazing wine, fantastic food and a view to die for.

The only hard part was getting back into the car! We’ll definitely be back - especially for some of the events they have going on.

What an absolute treasure! The staff at Barton Jones prepared the most delicious homemade lunch that was reasonably priced and expertly cooked. From the generous cheese platter, perfectly hearty and wholesome beef, Shiraz and rosemary pie to the creamy flavour-packed broccoli and blue cheese soup, and apple crumble fresh out of the oven; the entire meal left us happily rolling out the door at the end of the afternoon. The staff were friendly and generous, making it a most enjoyable visit. Highly recommend!

Stopped for lunch craving soup of which they had several available including a blue cheese and broccoli soup that was to die for. Add a brief and caramelised onion toasty and a paddle of their wines to taste and soak up the view. Afternoon made. Twice. Beautiful views, friendly service. Will be back.

I took my mum on a little adventure and totally glad we chose this winery, the plater boards were absolutely excellent and will not forget the suzette cheese and the homemade seed crackers...pies are brilliant to who ever makes these! Thank you to the ladies who looked after us you made our day and a great price on the Caron of wine. Nice to have 5 star service ✔️

Our second visit to this lovely little winery. A different experience from the ‘usual ‘ wineries... but most definitely in a good way. A gorgeous relaxing hidden spot to enjoy.

Ok, first up, the wines! Our host knew the grapes well and introduced each with passion. We particularly liked both the Top Drawer Cabernet Sauvignon and the luscious big bold mouth filling Bigwig Shiraz. Just Beautiful!

Our cheeseboard was fabulous. Quite simple but great produce. Oh how I wish the Cambray cheeses were stocked in the Perth Hills. Their blue cheese is really something else.

While you’re there, take a look at what’s available to take home with you. A collection of local artists exhibit here. One that caught our eye was Yabberup Studio. Beautiful hand printed quality linens and organic ceramics. The Studio is interesting in its diversity. If it’s there, grab their delicious orange & apricot chutney. Yum!

So... what started out to be a simple wine tasting, ended up with a few of Barton Jones seriously good reds in the car boot together with Yabberup Studio beautiful things. Gorgeous day!!

The afternoon we visited there was live music adding to a great view, good food and lovely wine. Why didn’t we know about this before? We’ll come again.

If I was speaking this review, the first part would be as a whisper, purely through guilt, because the original intention was to visit the cidery further down the path.......but fortunately for my partner and I, it was shut. As a result we decided to venture into Barton Jones which was a very wise decision.

We were first greeted by the owners very friendly dogs. Then once you walk into the winery reception, you get a glance of the vista from the outdoor seating area, which then makes you glad not to be the designated driver (see the attached photos).

Then to be greeted by Preeti, (a fellow Londoner) who is the consummate host, it made us very pleased we made the unexpected detour. No pretence, just Preeti & Brad’s shared passion for wine and the region. Our only regret is not being able to spend longer but we did take a few bottles away which included “The Top Drawer”, Cabernet Sauvignon which was the perfect accompaniment for our home cooked steaks later that week. The bottles of Sauvignon Blanc Semillon and Rose did not disappoint either. In short, great spot and a very nice way to spend an afternoon......albeit we wish we could have stayed longer and had a cab !
