Great for a picnic

A great spot to have a picnic. I would pick up something from the shop the just sit & chill with my book.

Glorious Sunset
Jan. 2021
What a pity we were there when it was an extremely windy day that we could not fully appreciate the beauty of The Fascine. We started at the Playground area and waited for the sun to set before walking further down to where the HMAS Sydney II Memorial is. The sunset was glorious throughout The Fascine.
Just love the view of the coconut trees lining up The Fascine which reminded me of my childhood holidays to Penang where I was born (I was brought up in KL).

Did not get a chance to walk on the 2.5km Old Tramway Walk Trail. Would have been nice to go for a run too from the end of The Fascine where the boat harbour is to the Heritage Precinct.

We were really impressed by this lovely area. Great for walking and for a sunset picnic. Just a beautiful spot in the heart of Carnarvon.

A great place to stroll at sunset
Nov. 2020
Impressive, made more so if there's a spectacular sunset - why wouldn't there be except in a cyclone! And grab a drink or a meal at the Carnarvon Hotel.

Sunset beauty
Oct. 2020
Such a gorgeous bay, with a path lined with coconut and cotton palms. A great spot to go for a walk, nice playground for the kids and taking in a sunset. Lovely memorial for the HMAS Sydney, just needs a bit of maintenance on the plaques as it's hard to read.
All this area needs is a few cafes and restaurants/bar close to the foreshore.

Stretch Your Legs & Promenade
Sep. 2020 • Couples
What a glorious way to end a day and a long drive into Carnarvon; to stroll the promenade at the Fascine and marvel at this attractive waterfront and take in the plaques naming the 643 lost souls of the HMAS Sydney, Australia’s greatest maritime loss of life.

Nice for a stroll
Aug. 2020
Nice place for a stroll. Water views, good play ground area for the kids, public toilets, good place to have a rest. The artificial grass sort of spoils the whole effect for me.

A beautiful relaxing place
Jul. 2020
A beautiful relaxing place to enjoy a walk or sit to have a relaxing lunch. There is also the name plaques of all that perished on the Sydney in WW2.
