Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We always go to the Visitor Centres arriving at any destination. There was lots of information but the young girl we spoke to didnt have much knowledge of the road conditions of where we wanted to go.Lots of bits and pieces to buy and was a clean and well run spot.

Great service with lots of helpful suggestions on eating out and things to see. The souvenir stocks are lovely – a great place to get gifts.

We had a great experience here, the lady who took our enquiries gave us lots of ideas on what to do in the four days we are here. She was also very friendly and we both commented when we left about what a great experience this was.

Went in here Monday morning and you could barely get in the door for people, the staff looked flustered and customers a bit annoyed. Took some Brochures and left. Perhaps if the opened Sunday in the busy season at least it wouldn’t be so busy Mondays. Potentially could be good.

I wandered in grabbed some brochures to look at while I had a coffee, upon my return the staff were nothing but helpful & friendly, pointing out things to & chatting. The gift shop side was also reasonably priced.

Maps, brochures, souvenirs, guides - the usual offering for a visitor centre. Helpful staff. Convenient location.

The young lady was friendly and helpful. However, her information is incorrect on the opening days of the buildings in the Heritage Precinct. I had doubled checked with her as we did not have full days in Carnarvon which was just a night over to and from Coral Bay.
She told me that it is open everyday. I did tell her that I had read on tripadvisor that tourists had been disappointed when they went and the buildings were not open and she told me that perhaps they did not have the volunteers then. Hence, had planned to visit the One Mile Jetty, Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage, The Interpretive Ctr, Shearing Hall of Fame and Railway Station Museum on a Monday upon our return from Coral Bay.
So, happened when we arrived on Sunday, we decided to go for lunch at the cafe at the One Mile Jetty and was disappointed to hear that they are always closed on Mondays solely because the cafe is closed on Mondays. It was too late for us to visit the buildings then as they close at 2pm and the video at the Interpretive Centre itself takes 55mins.

Helpful visitors centre with great gift shop. staff courteous and friendly. Unfortunately we were disappointed in the dining options of Carnarvon : One mile point cafe / Harbourside cafe / Carnarvon port hotel all state on there websites that they were open for breakfast and they werent, felt like we were driving round all the time looking for places to eat, they should really be updating there websites
