Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This review is for the 3 mile camp.Didnt stay there but checked it our for a future stay.It looks fantastic. It has a shop with essential and alcohol, beautiful flushing toilets and showers.Fabulous views from some of the caravan sites and also some cabins.Lots to explore along the coast line and your own mini blowholes that we watched the kids playing with. You can have fire.Im not sure if there was any power to sites and Im not sure about generators either.Looks like a top spot but you will need to book in advance during popular times as it does get busy and forget school holidays

Drive down an absolute disgustingly unkempt long corrugated sandy road to find a very rude man at the gate who merely told us “no we are full”. Continued on but found that unless you have booked accommodation there on the station or down at the bay, that you can’t get through.

He could have said something. It was obvious we were visitors. Very very rude. Don’t deserve the custom they get and their road is absolutely a death trap. Don’t go there. Rude and arrogant.

No signs either stating that it’s a no through road. They don’t deserve any custom and good on Billabong and Quicksilver for pulling out due to the stations refusal to fix the road for the surfing tournaments. Apparently, they “don’t want loads of tourists”. Be careful what you wish for.

Stayed at Gnarloo Station for 4 nights in the School Holidays .... we really enjoyed it although it was extremely windy so we didn’t put our awning up in case it was ripped off ( unfortunately there was a family with a similar van to ours that had this happen )
There are flushing toilets and bore water showers so after being self sufficient at Quobba Station for the four days prior we were all overjoyed at this!!
The lady in the General Store was so lovely and remembered my name every time I went in which I thought was a nice touch. Surrounding beaches where beautiful and we took a drive to Nature bay to snorkel ( so amazing)
We also drove to Red Bluff to check it out ... we will revisit this another time as it was a lovely spot.
The only downside is there isn’t a dump point for the caravan toilet but it wasn’t a deal breaker that’s for sure! Also there is no Wifi 99.5% of the time ... for us that was great as we enjoyed our time with the kids and friends we caught up with.
Can’t wait to return... it was a great spot!

This way out of the way beach/camp ground is so worth a visit. You need a 4WD to get there, but the pristine beach is stunning. We camped right in front of the beach so was like 1minute walk to get wet. Snorkelling at your door in a very safe protected lagoon with surf spots and SUP. No Internet which was fantastic to have a break from your phone. Saw turtles, fish, coral, whales all day long, reef shark (baby). then drove out to Gnarloo Bay (bout 10mins from 3 mile camp) and that beach was incredible with more amazing snorkelling & had to ourselves.
