Loved taking time to sit and stroll along the banks of this lovely river. Over the years the river mouth has altered shape and nearby one can very often see dolphins in the estuary.

We visited the river front while we were staying in Augusta. It is very nice and a calm spot for kids to swim. Very clean and plenty of places to sit for a picnic.

The old tyres, rotting masses of seaweed, and aroma of a dump may appeal to some, but not me. Highlights were a snake sighting and some pelicans defecating on the grass. Not a must see.
