About
The Augusta Visitors Centre was closed permanently in early 2019 to make way for two Augusta Visitor Information Hubs at the Deckchair Cafe and Augusta Newsagency, both situated in the centre of the beautiful town of Augusta. Please visit them to pick up a free map showcasing all that Augusta has to offer, and to browse a wealth of information available through an easy-to-use touchscreen. As Augusta Ambassadors, many of the town's businesses are also a wealth of local knowledge and are happy to help make your visit to Augusta, a charming experience. Specialist visitor information about Augusta and the entire Margaret River region is also available 7 days a week from the friendly team at the Busselton, Dunsborough and Margaret River visitor centres.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Staff are always professional, friendly and helpful. Great little gift shop and local staff are full of Augusta treasure spots to visit.
Make the most of it as MRBTA have decided it is not profitable and it will be closing soon.

Nice intro to the area and good views from the place with binoculars.
Some good books and other mementos. Also a nice interactive screen showing pics of the lighthouse which is 9km drive down the road

Hi Tim H, thank you for your review of the Augusta Visitor Centre. Our centre is in a great location overlooking the Blackwood River and with luck some of our visitors have even managed to see dolphins cruising through the river from our window. The new technology we are introducing throughout our centres by way of the interactive screens really enable us to showcase our region even further to our visitors & even get them virtually skydiving! We hope you continue to enjoy your stay in the region.

Friendly service and a nice spread of giftware. Beautiful mascot - gentle resident dog that is friendly, placid and gorgeous. Lovely scenery overlooking the Blackwood River.

Hello DisneyTbell, Thank you for the great review, so pleased you enjoyed your visit . As to the mascot we don't officially have one, however if one of the local pups has decide to be one that is lovely ! Must be the new dog water bowl we are supplying that drew the dog in !

I expect that there is a lot of information about things you can do in Augusta at the visitor centre but when we were passing through, it was closed for lunch. Maybe net time...

Hi DaeBbB, thank you for your comments. I am sorry we were not open when you wanted to visit, and how frustrating it must have been for you. Our centre is a great resource for visitors to find out all the information on the region so I hope that you do pop in the next time you are in Augusta. Our website is also a fantastic tool to use to explore the region and has links to our regional map which can assist you in planning your visit. I hope you have enjoyed your time in Your Margaret River Region and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

We went in here on a sunday afternoon while staying at the Augusta Hotel nearby, just about everything is on the main road and accesible by foot. Very quiet for a nice, sunny day. We went in and grabbed some maps and the usual souvenirs. The lady was very nice and knew everything about the area. We then stopped in some other touristy shops on our way to the museum.
