I have word from a very reliable source that the gaol will open again soon in the near future as an art gallery and entertainment venue for events such as weddings and so on so forth, so just hold tight :).

The gaol is closed for renovations atm!! Sign in the door .. doesn’t state when it reopens.. So please don’t head there as we did .. as you can see it!! Thanks

Been to the old Gaol for a few events and feeds, always finding something new and interesting. Food has been good, unique layout of venue can mean you are in a little hidey hole.... interesting art on the walls changes visit to visit. The music...More

No longer open. Sign said it was being changed into an art precinct. it has been bought by people who have refurbished other old buildings. They will keep the old goal look.

We eagerly walked from our accommodation to the Gaol only to find it closed and being prepared for converting into units. Very sad about that. A bit of history lost.

Great to finally get out of an escape room! And it actually felt like we were really escaping because of the location! Shame we will be one of the last visitors to the site for this activity

arrived to find only one guided tour this month...so agreed to a self guided tour @ $10 each. 3 corridors, the downstairs kitchen and an exercise yard. Couldn't do upstairs un-guided. Junk everywhere. Café closed. hopefully it will improve.....
