Wow. Spectacular. Upon first glance of this glorious cathedral we were excited and could feel it's welcoming presence. Ditching our backpacks we checked into to a near by casa. Returning to pay homage inside of this historical shell shaped pilgrim church we were greeted by...More

This is a curious church supposedly in scallop shape in ground floor scheme but mostly small but very vertical. Climb up the tower for cit views but more to look down on the sanctuary and to see portraits of Mary circling the tower. The entrance...More

First time I've described a church that way, but the structure is elegant, delicate, and yes, "feminine". It dominates a large plaza on the Camino.

We paid the €1 to go to the top. It's a must do. I wasn't too fussed on going up but I'm glad I did. What a different perspective you get on this enormous Cathedral.

Located in a beautiful square in the gem of Pontevedra. Beautiful building, very small interior, very cheap to view the balcony, worth a moment of your time to visit. Also provide a stamp for the Camino.

My wife and I recently completed the Camino De Santiago and while stopping in Pontevedra we visited this wonderful church. There is a small donation that one can give to walk thru the tower and on this day we were lucky enough to meet and...More

Small church in the heart of Pontevedra, designed with the pilgrims in mind on their way to Santiago. A point where to get their passport stamped. It is known for its shell shape. If you are feeling well, you can climb the stairs to the...More

This is quite a small church in the centre of town and one on the Pilgrims route. We saw a couple of pilgrims come in, have a look around and get their books stamped. It is a lovely little church with a round tower. You...More
