This is third largest store of ice on Mother Earth after Antartica and Greenland. What makes this glacier special is its unique shape and frequent ruptures. Its so accessible you can have a day trip from Puerto Natales if you are in Chile or stay...More

This beautiful glacier is surreal. It's massive and you can see all the way back to the mountains. The sound it makes when pieces break off is astonishing, almost like gunfire or a cannon. The walkway the park was made gets you very close and...More

Ever wanted to feel like John Snow on the Wall? This glacier defies the boundary between reality and imagination, it's just awesome. We went in autumn and actually caught the first snow of the year, adding to the experience. Glacier itself is located 80 km...More

Like any glaciar it's a great site to contemplate, but what sets Perito Moreno apart is the location which is quite accessible, you not only get to see it by boat (which I would advise), but also have some walkways on the opposite site which...More

This is a current wonder of the world. I was lucky enough to go on a bright and sunny day. The boat was full but there was plenty of room on the viewing decks. The ice was truly amazing. Bright white with loads of blue....More

We hired a car to visit the Perito Moreno Glacier. And honestly I don't know if in the end it was any cheaper. The road from El Calafate to the National Park where the Glacier is is quite straight forward. No risk to get lost....More

One day is enough to go to the National Park lookout and walk to the glacier if you use a taxi but not enough time to do the boat ride to the Three Glaciers which is terrific.
