Unsure why this is a Delaware State Park; it's mostly a beach or set of beaches on the ocean side of Fenwick Island which is south of Bethany Beach DE and just north of Ocean City, MD. It may be a bit quieter, but the commercial activities are along Delaware route 1 (Coastal Hwy) which connects the Delmarva beach communities.... More

This is part of the Delaware State Parks and offers a guarded beach with bathhouse and concessions during the season. The fee is reasonable, especially if you are here often and buy a seasonal pass. We go here often both in season and off season. Our home is nearby and, being of a certain age, I have a lifetime pass... More

Upon moving to the Fenwick beach area, it dawned on us that we had never been to the beach in Fenwick. We signed up and paid for a pass to use for the beach season. The beach is quite nice, very wide and not nearly as crazy as Ocean City, Md beaches can be. But make no mistake.....it can get... More

Love the Fenwick Island Beaches in Delaware. They are beautiful open spaces with loads of room to relax and enjoy they days in the sun.

Great park. The bathrooms and amenities are clean and comfortable. The food is very reasonable and there is good variety. There are no trash cans, so be prepared to carry your trash out with you. The beaches are clean and wide open. There is even a dog beach on the north end of the park. Plan to arrive early, especially... More

This section of beach is fabulous with the sand, dunes and waves. The bathhouses have showers, which is a nice touch. The parking lot is fairly large, and is self-pay in the off season. And they do allow pets on a leash. Much less crowded than Ocean City.

Fenwick Island in September is a perfect place and time to get away from the urban sprawl. My family and I enjoyed the soft sand beach, sparse crowds, and warm ocean water this past week. September provides cool breezes, yet enough warmth to enjoy a dip in the ocean. I highly suggest this beach over the crowded and touristy Ocean... More

We routinely go to the beach at the Fenwick Island State park.... Convent parking, rest rooms and between Memorial Day and Labor Day a grill/takeout food on premises for lunch while at the beach! You can also rent umbrellas, beach chairs, etc during the summer season. The beach has life guards during the summer season. Delaware beaches are smoke free and... More

We went on a Saturday afternoon, which is probably the busiest, as all of the turn-over of resorts occur on this day. The wait in line for a parking spot took us almost 20-30 minutes, as spaces are limited. You pay $10 non-Delaware resident and $5 for residents - good all day. There are plenty of life guards and a... More

Good parking for $10. There is a good toilet/shower/changing block and a small cafe. There is a short boardwalk to the beach. The beach is nice and sandy, clean well kept. There is quiet a steep drop off in the ocean so caution required when swimming.
