The new entrance to the gorge is very nice. The gorge is 1 and 1/2 miles one way and we walked it all of the way. It is a good walk and allowed us to see all aspects of the gorge. There are explanatory signs...More

An amazing place. A definite must see! The Gorge Trail was a fairly easy hike (a lot of steps). We hiked to where the Indian Tail intersected then returned on the Indian Trail.

Romantic & beautiful! Visit early to beat the crowd. We started close to 8:30am, and the crowd size wasn’t too bad. We walked the Gorge trail and back via Indian trail (2.4miles)... by the end of our walk, the place got crowded! For less crowded...More

Watkins glen state park is beautiful. The RV Park is kept clean, staff are very helpful and daily cost is significantly low than the KOS campground nearby. Would highly recommend

This is just a MUST SEE. Almost any age/fitness level can do this hike. There are ways to go at it easy and moderate.....But the beauty of the rock formations and waterfalls is humbling and worth every step....(it's over 800 STEPS to go to top).

This is a breathtaking walk in more ways than one. You walk behind falls, beside them, over them and around them. There are many stone steps, but there is usually a handrail to help you along. I brought a walking. stick which I always find helpful...More

You can sort of see one from the road. There is a big one in Montour Falls right up the road.

Like others mentioned, the gorge trail does not allow dogs. I did see some on other trails in the park. Many of the breweries and wineries near Watkins Glen are dog friendly.
