Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was supposed to be the most beautiful beach and i was not wowed. There was rubbish in the ocean, it was full of boats - hard to swim and corals were only further to the ocean, but there i recommend some marking of yourself (if you wanna snorkel) as it is busy with boats. You have toilets there though and showers, also some food stores. Gets very busy with locals over the weekends´.

We embarked an open boat with four glass viewing areas at Trou aux Biches Beach! We were very excited at our first holiday outing after several years COVID confinement! We saw various corals as we were surrounded by a barrier which acted as a safety net against sharks getting at us! It was a while we sailed around enjoying the sea and sun suddenly sea turtles were spotted nearby and other boats raced alongside but no worries sea turtles were in full view through the glass. We were then invited to swim or snorkel was just divine crystal clear turquoise safe sea water! As a Piscean I felt I had reached Paradise and wished this feeling would never end! We counted our lucky stars not to be involved in the storm drama of Dubai Airport which lasted several days! These sea turtles are truly majestic and seem to perform on call a very beautiful engaging exciting sea turtle adventure swimming with amazing sea turtles.

Nice Sand, nice water. Unfortunately the areas to swim without a guide are very small. The snorkelling areas are a bit further out and one can’t swim there since there are lots of boats driving very fast. It is not possible to snorkel at trou aux biches without paying for a boat.

Public beach but be careful, you cannot go further then 10 meters in de sea, after that it is speedboat highway.
So if you think you can go swimming then think again, even the free sport of snorkeling is ruined here as you need to go with a boat which costs you 40€ pp.
Ridiculous and a real rip-off.

Absolutely stunning beach with some of the best waters one can find. The public beach unfortunately has a small confined space to swim as the Beachcomber hotel takes up the majority of the beach 🏝️ Also there’s just way too many boats and people trying to sell you trips/things but not too bothersome. Loved it here and the sunsets are amazing but Moint Choisy beach is less crowded and has loads of space if that’s what you’re after.

The beach itself is quite narrow and not so impressive although there are sandy spots to sit and enjoy the view. It’s the dramatic scenery with black rocks jutting out of the sea that make this spot so stunning especially at sunset. Sadly, that also means it’s not a great spot for swimming, although if you are lucky enough to be staying at one of the many hotels you can probably enjoy the view from a swimming pool! It’s also very unfortunate that the beach is covered in trash. I saw broken glasses and plates, plastic bottles, polystyrene containers and numerous beer cans spewed over the rocks and sand. Maybe the numerous hotels along this stretch could get together and start a ‘clean up the beach’ campaign, after all their livelihood depends on this beautiful beach!

This beach is very beautiful, very relaxing, quiet, clean and safe. You can snorkel straight from the beach! Don’t mind the Beachcomber sunbeds – you can put your towel anywhere you like on the beach area, as there are no private beaches in Mauritius. Sometimes the hotel security tries to tell you that this is the private beach, but just ignore it friendly. This is the best beach in Mauritius that we visited. For lunch take a roti from one of the food stalls in the parking lot area. If you like to do some beach activities, there is a place for that as well. Still this is not a hectic beach and you can always find your own quiet place. This beach is for total relaxation. Stay there at least for one sunset as well and take a swim (of a beer) while the sun is setting. It is beautiful.

Plage de Troux aux Biches is a very busy beach with a lot of activites, if you want that. If you only like to take some sun and have a swim in the ocean, is still a really great beach! The beach is long so if you want your "own" space, no problem.
Only sunbeds on weekdays, not on weekends!

The beach is well kept but busy compared to most other places with a cordoned off swimming area.
This is for a reason, the speed boats are everywhere.
We went out to swim with the turtles, the experience was great however once again the speed boats taking people out show little consideration for either the turtles or those snorkelling and they will drive straight in, you need to exercise caution.
We avoided the dolphins for the same reasons, with so many boats and unguarded propellors it is an accident waiting to happen.

Best service, fantastic cocktails, outstanding food, all amenities like toilets, showers and small swimming pool for kids. Very comfortable sun beds, private car park. And the best servant is Narvesh and his supervisor Yash
