I took my kids to NY to see snow for the first time (they were born and raised in South Florida). They went snow tubing on Mount Peter and had a BLAST!!!!!! We purchased snow tubing tickets from 11am to 1pm. It was sell organized (a bit crowded) but great fun for the entire family.

Maybe other wekends are better but MLK Monday was a disaster! We went there because of the free lessons and what a joke that was!! I think I counted almost 40 young kids in the ski area for a noon lesson with 2 instructors! And the snowboard instructor had 11 who had NEVER snowboarded before! He was a Very nice... More

I'll start by saying that we visited on the busiest weekend of the year. That said, we were there at 8 am and it still took us two hours to get our rentals because the payment line was so long and there were so many people in the actual equipment area. Then they lost one of our contracts and only... More

I was peeved. We paid for four full price tickets since they told us the kids could ride with us. My kids, ages 3 and 4 were petrified and couldn't even make it down the hill, one time. Why didn't they tell me that a) kids ride in front of u on a 2 person tube which means my kids... More

I very much like Mount Peter. I have twin girls that are 6 and a 9 year old and the mountain is great. My little kids learned how to ski there last year and they can ski the blacks now. The ski school is good, all the staff is very friendly, and kids cannot get lost easily. The mountain is... More

This is where I first learned how to ski when I was 2 years old. Every weekend the ski instructors teach people of all ages to ski for free. The trails are somewhat easy more for practice trails. They have 2 ski lifts running almost all the time. Bunny hills and magic carpet. Ski and equipment rentals with lockers The... More

This ski facility is small but close to NYC and good for first time skiers. The facility makes snow, has rentals, and has a cafeteria. There is a lodge at the bottom of the hill with picnic tables and seating. Good for families looming for a day trip.

Went snow-tubing, first time for all of us. Place was great, Adults and kids had fun. Snow-tube downhill, ride the conveyor belt uphill. Only thing to watch out for are the sudden stops of the conveyor belts which give you a jolt the first times. Staff is super-friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommended.

I visited in 2015, but I waited until I visited other ski resorts in the area before writing this review. The selling points for this place are proximity to NYC and decent slopes for beginners. Unfortunately it gets horribly overcrowded on the weekends. We arrived fairly early, but spend over one hour between tickets and rental. After that, I found... More

The skiing is great, It is good for beginners to experts. It has a good food court. The only bad thing is the rental area. It gets very crowed and has a long wait, so rent for the day at Mount Everest or Sports Authority and bring your own to save time.
