When we arrived at the Utica Station for our ride, we were impressed with grandeur of the terminal. Beautiful craftsmanship of an era that today's construction cannot match. On the day of our ride, the weather did not co-operate, but that did not put a...More

We took our daughter, husband and two young grandsons on the Polar Express for part of their Christmas this year. It was awesome! Mom kept the secret until we were on the way and then allowed Grammie (me) to share the secret. Our ten year...More

We've always had great, nostalgic trips on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad, including their excursions from Utica to Old Forge, but this year's Polar Express experience was just phenomenal! The station is so beautiful in its own right, but when it is done up for Christmas,...More

I'm unsure even where to begin with this review. I had such high hopes for this experience on the Polar Express with my nearly 5-year-old son and husband. For the $108 we shelled out for economy class tickets, this felt like a dirty carnival ride...More

The entire organization is top notch. Every person you encounter from the moment you enter the station, to the moment you leave is incredible. The entire thing lasts about 2 hrs and the kids (and adults) are entertained throughout.

All children and most adults in PJs. Organized - no assigned seating but everyone was able to sit in their group. Fun at the station before we traveled - including colorings, music and other fun. Bathroom lines long. Train ride was on time. On speakers...More

Yes I would also say the best thing is to call. As I'm not sure of what specials they have. Some times they have groups making a special trip. Also I think they have a Web Site.

Their website would have the information you need but no, I don't think they have daily scenic trips. I think it depends on the time of the year. Some weeks there are many more trips than at other times.
