The Wild Center is an 81-acre hands-on place to get all kinds of new perspectives on the wild world of the Adirondacks. It will include Wild Walk, a brand new trail across the treetops starting in the summer of 2015. The Wall Street Journal called The Wild Center "Glorious" in its review, and The New York Times called it "stunning".

The Center has live animals, a wide screen theater, canoes, its own river, guides walks, tons of cutting-edge green building systems, and the only treetop walk in the Adirondacks.

I REALLY wanted to love this place. I was surprised at it's location (it's in the middle of nowhere) and the brochures made it seem so cool. It was pretty dead when we arrived so I was excited for more interaction and less lines. My first problem is that while I would have loved to stop and absorb the sheer... More

So my family and I visited this place in the mild winter and found it to be fun. Be prepared to do lots of reading. I found some areas to be repeating themselves but with different words. They have an area that talks about the glaciers, lots of fish with some turtles and ducks. An area with books and a... More

We were pleasantly surprised by how great the wild center was. We had heard good things but is far surpassed all of them. We enjoyed both the outdoor and indoor exhibits especially the walk around the pond. The views and structure are amazing. Even though it was a family trip, we could easily see how breathtaking the venue would be... More

Great place. Educational. Inspirational. Had a beautiful day walking around both inside and outside. Bring a picnic! The whole area around Tupper Lake, NY is wondrous. Do visit.

This is a neat museum, particularly if you don't know a lot about the natural history of the Adirondacks. Nice interactive displays, the otters are fun to watch. I expected more from the treetop walkway, but it was a decent end to the visit.

We had an amazing time here. We spent a full day here and could have spent another. The science of the centre combined with the wildlife and interactivity of all of the displays puts this as one of our top ever visited learning spaces.

Love the displays and movies and trails! Great place to go any season for the entire family, but I think young kids enjoy it the most with the hands on experience.

This was really fantastic to walk among the treetops. The swinging bridges, the Twig Tree House, the Spider's Web and the Tree Trunk filled with life inside. You can see the mountains from adjoining states. The views were outstanding. We were told that our ticket price was for 2 days - great value.
