Plenty to do along the narrows in Staten island, go to the Fort where you can take photos of the old fort, the narrows, brooklyn and the city. Watch the ships sale in and out of port. Grab a fishing pole and fish on the south beach pier or go to the beach for the day. Plenty to do but... More

A walk along any beach fronting on the Narrows is well worth it. The views are great in all directions. Try to view it at night when the bridge and the Battery section of Manhattan are lit up.

The panoramic view of this beautiful place needs to be seen in person ! The photograph shown is from the even more historic Ft. Wadsworth, where a relaxing day can be highlighted with this same photo op. One of New York's best kept secrets as a tourist attraction !

I think that the best view of the Narrows between Brooklyn and Staten Island is from the decks of the Queen Mary 2. We sailed under the bridge during dinner on June 3 heading out toward the Atlantic Ocean. I snapped photos as best I could from the Britannia Dining Room on the upper level deck 3. I'm posting a... The best spot for photos and just an overall view is at Fort Wadsworth lookout which is to the left of the V-Z Bridge.

The Narrows between Staten Island and Brooklyn are spectacular in their own way. You can enjoy them from a great vantage point in Fort Wadsworth, another view is from the Boardwalk in South Beach or from the Alice Austen Museum at the base of Hylan Boulevard. There is also a great vantage point in Von Briesen's Park. However the foliage... More

The Narrows is located under the Verrazano Bridge span which was built in the mid-1960's. The best view is from the shores of Ft. Wadsworth or the Alice Austen House in Rosebank, Staten Island, New York. If one is lucky, you can see the huge new cruise ships coming in or going out to sea. Across the way is Ft.... More

A lovely day in Staten Island looking over the Narrows from Fort Wadsworth with the Verrazano Bridge in the background. Didn't spend too much time here as it was getting late. Manhattan can be viewed from this spot. Lots of history here.

This out of the way place has been around Staten Island for a great many years and is really valued by the repeat patrons that have been attending it for all those years. A warm place to have a drink with friends or a nice, well prepared meal.
