Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Duck Walk Vineyard is a good vineyard. It has a lot of tables spaced out for social distancing. It has an indoor and outdoor area, as well as outdoor areas under tents. You are required to buy a set of 4 “tasters” and a small bag of Utz chips for $13 to get in. I recommend Ice Wine the most. The venue is dog-friendly.

This winery offers a casual tasting served at the bar in plastic cups. The day we went it was raining but we sat outdoors under a tent anyway. There was a guy playing the guitar and singing cover songs. The wine was pretty good. Sauvignon Blanc was my favorite.

Wine tasting on the East End of Long Island is a must for us each year. We like to try different wineries each time and Duck Walk North was on the agenda this time. The main building is very spacious with a long bar that wraps around so that you are not on top of the other customers. It also contains a section where you can purchase bottles. On this day there were a few groups doing tastings at the same time, so the wine tender was very busy. There was a very strong smell of antiseptic in the building due to the bathroom just being cleaned, which was off-putting (I assume the smell would dissipate as the day wore on). We used a Groupon for tastings and a cheese platter, which was a good deal. There are tables inside or you can sit on the back patio among the vineyards, which is what we did. The wines were good and I ended up buying several bottles of their red table wine, which I later used to make sangria. I also purchased an ice wine and Riesling. They give you a discount for bottle purchases. No outside food or beverages are allowed. Reservations required for groups of 6 or more. Tastings flights are 4/$8 and glasses of wine run from $6 to $15 each.

Gina greeted us with a huge smile. She was the only one working the Tasting room and cashier. We did a tasting, and there was cork in my Gatsby. She immediately fixed the situation and then some. An excellent representation of the winery. Beautiful grounds.
Cheeses, both cow and sheep, goat, available. Meats, with Gluten free options available. You may bring your own food too.

Bar staff is un-attentive. They don't seem thrilled to be doing their job. Patio was a mess -maybe they were short staffed. Wine is nothing to chirp about. Osprey is where it's at!

My friend and I had a really nice visit to Duck Walk. George, our wine consultant, was very friendly and helped us pick out some great choices for our tasting. I love the Gatsby Red!! Grounds were pretty and we had a nice relaxing afternoon.

My husband and I recently visited the lovely Duck Walk Vinyard in Southhold. It was a Beautiful spring Sunday still quiet on the East end.of LI. We enjoyed a leisurely tasting and enjoyed a bottle of Rose while snacking on cheese and crackers. The sun was shining warmly on the Vineyards. My husband is a Red white drinker and I love my whites but we both enjoyed the tasting and fell in love with the Rose. This was our first visit but I'm sure we will be back.

Very nice Chardonnay for the price.
The less expensive Chardonnay was better at 16 or so a bottle.
We didn't try many other wines-their Sauvignon Blanc was just OK-may not be the best grape to grow on Long Island.

Stopped by here on a whim and found the wines to be pretty good. The grounds were ok too but the tasting room needs some help.

It's not that it is dirty or anything because it's not. The issue is the way it is set up. It's in a very large building with the wine area in the middle. The wine bar gets lost in the big space. I suppose they have it that way if they are having a large event or something but the empty space all around you otherwise is not welcoming

The person pouring the wine seemed to know very little about wine and was mostly going off a memorized script with a few bad jokes thrown in. Kind of like a bad tour guide who knows only a bit more than what they have been told. I don't expect a sommelier or anything but at least know what you are doing

Four tastings for six dollars seems steep since that is about what some of the far better known wineries are charging in Sonoma, glen Ellen and Napa. Go to some of the lessor known places and it's free.

All in all wine was good so I can't complain too much it's just disappointing to see wine tasting done poorly.

We were amazed at the amount of wine that they poured during the tastings. Probably because the wines were some of the worst we have tried on the North Fork. These wines are simply off my list of those that I would purchase.
