This park is where William Rockefeller owned his home and land. You can still see remnants of the structure. The paths take you to scenic views of the Hudson or farther back within the trees. It is a great place to walk, run, picnic, or sled in the winter. You can always find a nice quiet spot if you'd rather... More

In beautiful Sleepy Hollow, beucolic trails are accessible year round. Every season offers new visual surprises. If you love a dose of peaceful nature, this will satisfy you. Great for walking, running, or sitting! Some trails have benches to sit and reflect on the beauty.

The park was very clean and well taken care of, and the views are incredible. Great place to sit and relax and just stare at the water, or hit a trail and take a little hike. Extremely relaxing and an enjoyable experience.

The site of the old Rockwood mansion is all that is left of what was a truly great house that should have been preserved. The area is peaceful and walking is a pleasure on long flat paths.

We've lived in the area for 25 years and never knew of this park. It's on the grounds of a (now gone) Rockefeller estate, with beautiful views of the Hudson.

We have friends that live nearby, so this is great spot for a stroll before a big meal. Lots of wildlife - deer mostly, some nice views, and benches under a majestic oak tree that is the biggest we've ever seen on the East Coast.

This place is such a great hidden gem! I love going here on a beautiful day that's not too warm to walk my dog. There is a small parking lot for free parking just before the entrance to the park but the great thing is that the hospital close by let's you park in their garage for free if the... More

These are magnificent, groomed trails with beautiful scenery and some great views of the Hudson. Well run with volunteer help. Upkeep is consistent. We love to wander and let the walkers pet our horses!!

We were looking for a quick hike near Tarrytown, NY. Researching internet maps and Trip Advisor we found Rockwood State Park (within the Rockefeller Estate). It hit a number of check-marks for us: easily accessible from the Hwy 9, adjacent to the Hudson River and good trail route options - another would be very family friendly trails. I will note...
