The tour may not have been intended as a love letter to the Rockefellers, but the reminders of all the good things they have done for our country (and continue to do) made it hard to resent them for having such a lovely family home as Kykuit. I took the standard tour and found it to be more than adequate... More

The art work alone is worth it, but the views are to die for! I would love to tour in other seasons. Seems a little pricey but I'm glad I did it. The views are to die for and the art work alone is worth it. I would love to tour in other seasons as well, but Fall was really... More

My husband and I visited Kykuit in mid-October, taking the Classic Tour. The Classic Tour is just over two hours long and very enjoyable. PARKING & FACILITIES: You must park at a visitor center in Sleepy Hollow and board a shuttle bus at the appropriate time with your tour guide. The visitor center has snacks, a shop, and rest rooms.... More

We had a friend recommend a tour of KyKuit, and she was right to point us in this direction! You purchase your tickets at the visitor's center and are then taken by bus to Kykuit, situated on a hill so that you get a spectacular view of the surrounding Hudson Valley. My sons, ages 14 and 18, were not overly... More

We had a fantastic tour and tour guide. Never having been, the ticket structure was a bit confusing, but we did the Classic and it was very thorough. It only allowed for viewing of the first floor of the home, but that was enough to gain insight into the family history. The grounds are absolutely spectacular. If you are an... More

The reviews are correct. This tour was fantastic. I've seen more impressive homes but Kykuit can be surpassed in beauty as settings go. You get s glimpse into the lives of three generations of the Rockefeller family who lived in this home for 70+ years. Our guide actually worked for the Rockefeller family as a maid when she was 21.... More

Kykuit is not as grand as Hearst Castle in San Simeon, CA or The Breakers in Newport, RI, but it is one of the grand houses of America. Built by oil magnet and philanthropist John D. Rockefeller, Kykuit was the home to four generations of the Rockefeller family. Our tour guide enhanced our understanding of the Rockefeller family and this... More

We did the "first time tour" which entails a short bus ride to the estate. The bus drops you off and thus begins your tour of the magnificent spring/fall home of Rockefeller. We chose the "first time tour" as we booked at the last moment and this is all that was available. After being dropped off you begin your journey... More

We who love old houses stop in and visit wherever we are. So I've been to lots of mansions and cottages and ranches all over the country, Mexico and Europe, even Asia. The tour of Kykuit (Keye-kit) is by far the best I've been on, Truly. It is very well organized, from the bus that takes us from the visitor... More

We visited Kykuit on Halloween 2016 and were fortunate enough to have a lady named Laura as our tour guide. As the tour started, a member of the previous group told us how fantastic our tour guide was, so hopes were high and she did not disappoint. Very knowledgable and passionate about the estate of John D Rockefeller. The bus... More
