I haven't been here for a few years and wanted to get my beach permit for this summer. The staff helped me through the whole process even walking me through the camp site acquisition. Thank you. True professionals

the beach is still beautiful as is the flight 800 memorial but there are so many other nicer beaches on the south shore. The concession stand is way over priced for fried food.

I live in North Shirley and I go to Smith Point often. During the summer, I go early in the AM or after 4:30 so I don't have to pay $16 to park. I park on the west side of parking lot and go by the ranger station to the beach to avoid the crowds. If you want a little... More

The beach is beautiful. Disappointed in closing the outer beach for the piping plovers, especially when paying for an outer beach pass. The campground should be run better. Very difficult to make reservations and not always clean.

The beach here is part of a National Seashore and has a presence of the National Park Service and Suffolk County Parks. The beach is sufficiently wide and clean. Water was not so cold that bathing was not enjoyable. Parking can cost you up to $16 for the day.

Clean water, easy to wade your way into the ocean, and very clean for a public beach. There's free live music nearby during the summer which attracts a local crowd. Fun, unpretentious vibe. Felt safe leaving my beach stuff to go on a walk, that said, I took my phone with me.

The beach is beautiful! I take my granddaughter at least 4 or five times a month. The cost is $15 a bit steep. Nice playground for children.
