Beautiful views and trail to the lighthouse. We were lucky enough to have a sunny day with low tides. There was a little hut with rain boots to borrow for high tides that I thought was just the sweetest thing. Great photos.

My friend and I were excited to visit a lighthouse. We parked at the beginning of the trail and saw the sign that it was a half mile walk to the structure. The trail winds thru a wooded peninsula with local plants and interesting trees....More

The lighthouse is a nice place to visit. Have to go at low tide. It is a moderate walk from the parking lot to the lighthouse.

The Saugerties Lighthouse is a gem. You have to walk through a wooded area, some parts on a wooden path and along the shores of the Hudson River. A lovely, easy walk. When you get to the lighthouse the views are spectacular. The lighthouse is...More

Cute place. You hike along a short nature trail to this hidden peice of history with beautiful views of the Hudson. It is tidal so check before you head there.

Saugerties lighthouse is right on the Hudson. It's a short walk from the parking area and you can't see it until you're nearly there. Built in 1869, the preservation society that maintains it operates it as a B&B. Worth a quick stop, especially if you...More

Parking about a half mile away from waterfront. Path to water is clearly marked and is marsh-like. You'll want to stay on the path. Wouldn't recommend for small children or if easy access is important.
