Super nice friendly people everywhere. There is a l lot to do, mountains to climb, boats to use on the lakes, great places to eat. Good active night life here and in nearby Lake Placid.

My boyfriend and I stayed in Saranac lake while visiting Lake Placid for a lacrosse tournament. The lake is beautiful, with lots of shops and restaurants near by. Lake placid was only a 10 min drive away, so it was a perfect location for us....More

Saranac Lake, sometimes called "The Capital of the Adirondacks" offers a cool artsy/crafty village experience with surrounding lakes and trails for canoeing and kayaking and hiking. Overlooking the village, Mount Baker gives an expansive view after a 30-minute moderate climb. It's a wonderful spot for...More

Nice place to go to chill out but still have all of the comforts. The lake itself and the adjoining area are woderful for outdoor activities throughout the year.
