If you're interested in photography and old films you will love the George Eastman Museum. take a self guided tour of the house and in the spring and summer don't miss the gardens. As you enter the main house you are greeted by a grand staircase. The house is furnished as it was when George Eastman lived there. Check out... More

I took my adolescent son to the museum. We had not been in years, and it was an incredibly rich experience for us both. The photos were amazing, needless to say. All aspects of our visit inclusive of the grounds, indoor layout, display of various handmade holiday wreaths, gift shop made this a very fun visit for us both!

The gallery has increased its visibility in the community with the appointment of a new director. If you live in the area you should be come a member which gets you access any time. One of the premier photography museums in the world, with a collection of photographic equipment and also movies and lectures.

I didn't know a lot about Eastman and I really enjoyed the guided tour. Worse a visit if you're in the area.

The info on the website and elsewhere makes this place look more formidable than it is. One parks in the ample parking lot at 900 East Ave, then follows the signs to the entrance on the side. You enter and there is an exhibit on the development of the camera on the right. I would suggest (especially if you have... More

Unbelievable place to visit both inside and out. Many times we have attended wedding ceremonies for outdoor pictures in the gardens and the info and photography and architecture is second to none. A fabulous day visit with family or friends.

This is a fantastic museum that is chock-full of facts and details about the life and contributions of George Eastman. There is a lovely garden as well and they have music performances in the summer. I was impressed with the large gift shop that had something for everyone - from young children to grandparents.

I've loved visiting the George East as house since I was a child and first went there with my mom. I find something new to see and study every time I go there. From listening to the two organs being played (yes, they've added a second one) to just wandering around and enjoying the beauty of the home and grounds,... More

A lot of the focus of the tour is on George Eastman's house, rather than the history of photography. The house is immaculately maintained, and architecturally is very impressive for the time. You expect old mansions to be dark and stuffy, but the house was refreshingly light and airy. Nearly everything in the house is original. There are a lot... More
