The Acquarium is wonderful but the added bonuses are the butterfly conservatory and the parrot house. Butterflies abound and fly all over you in a beautiful setting, but the parrot house where the birds perch all over you is super fabulous definitely pay a visit if you are near Riverhead

I took my daughter and nephew here over the summer and they really enjoyed it. We went on a weekday so it wasn't overly crowded. I loved the butterfly and bird exhibit. Unfortunately, my daughter and nephew, who are both toddlers, were scared of the close proximity to the butterflies. I'm sure they will love it when they are a... More

We went with our son and his grandparents. He was excited upon arrival, bouncing up and down. As we meandered to see different animals, he was even more enthused. He had the chance to touch rays, feed other rays, and see penguins and other beasts. The live lizard that he was able to touch was a highlight. Also, the wading... More

The Shark Dive experience was excellent! Our two guides for the day, Jimmy and Mary were wonderful. Mary had great info about the sharks and other fish we would be diving with and Jimmy was so informative about the proper use of the diving equipment and safety procedures. He was actually in the cage with us during our dive which... More

The aquarium is really very well maintained and has plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained for the whole day. Although we live in Brooklyn we feel that the drive out to Riverhead is well worth it. In addition there is the beautiful butterfly and bird exhibits. The design of the aquarium is very well done. Of course the coral... More

Nice aquarium. A little small and pricey but worth a visit. The boat trips are informational and enjoyable. Ray petting/feeding tank a must for kids...and you can dive with sharks!

This aquarium is quite amazing and I am not really an aquarium aficionado. I love sushi, sashimi, oysters, .... Take a couple of hours and stroll the museum enjoying the beautiful variety of salt and fresh water sea creatures. Very well thought out design. We were really pleasantly surprised, and I went with Mr Sea Creature Expert of all times.... More

My husband gave me the penguin encounter for my birthday and it was amazing! We went on a weekday, and ended up being the only ones. It was like a private tour! The aquarium is not too big so you can see all the exhibits in a couple of hours. Really liked the shark tank. Overall a fun day!
