This is a series of simple loop hikes, nothing too strenuous. Most of the hikes are in fairly dense foliage. The old fire tower is worth the climb for the views of the Hudson. Bring plenty of bug spray- there is a lot of standing...More

Visited specifically to climb the fire tower for the view, but was very impressed with the extensive trail system. I've never seen such a huge concentration of trails in such a relatively small area. They're certainly putting this forest to use! Great place to walk...More

Another gem in this historic area thoughtfully preserved for all to enjoy. Untouched, majestic and serene. Great stewardship of the land.

Click on to their website which you can find on the Trip Advisor posting, and there is a form to register for camping. There is a parking lot right at the entrance as well as bathrooms. Not sure about washing area.
