I live just down the road from botanical gardens and go here every spring to fill my garden. They have tons of varieties of vegetables, flowers, herbs and bushes. Besides the hanging baskets, most everything is very reasonably priced. On my last trip I got - a raspberry bush, lemon verbena, lemon balm, basil, heirloom organic tomatoes and eggplant, parsley,... Not a real botanical garden. A Nursery is more like it. has a few greenhouses, about 20 tables of Flowers and vegetables.

I visit here every year to get some, not so common, annuals. They always have healthy plants and are helpful if I have questions.

I got some tomatoes, herbs and flowers. The plants all transplanted well. There is a VAST selection and prices are good.

When you think Botanical Gardens, your mind probably wanders to the museum-kind of Botanical Gardens. This is essentially a serene, very big, nursery. They've got a wide selection of plants, including organic vegetable plants, and are quite reasonably priced.

Northern Dutchess Botanical Gardens has been my yearly spring port-of-call since at least 2003. To reviewer B.S. (below): I think you've gotten the wrong end of the stick: it's not a botanical garden in the conventional sense; rather, it's a first-rate plant nursery tucked away in the back of beyond and offering much more than the usual run-of-the-mill. Terrific perennial... More

My wife and I have been coming here to get our plants for many years. All the people are very knowledgeable about plants and can provide a wealth of advice. They are welcoming, friendly, polite and with a strong desire to help and make this a really enjoyable, plant-shopping experience. There is a very good selection of annuals and perennial... More
