We missed the glass making tour. Very nice shop, tons of materials for sale. Very good prices for custom work. Just over the bridge in NY. Nice river view and creamy just down the road. Inexpensive gifts available as well as some real treasures. Drinks and bathrooms available. Lots of small breakable items, so watch the kids.

My mom and I took our grand and great grandkids there a couple of summers ago. (I do a "cousins camp" in the summer) There were no other visitors there, but they gave us a tour of the factory. The workers were fun and informative ... and patient with the kids. There is a little gift shop where lovely glass... More

This glass factory may seem like a trip back in time as you watch molten glass formed into glass pieces that most of us see quite often when we travel. I have worked in manufacturing so maybe I see things differently than some others but here is a place that clearly shows why America is GREAT! Visit Gillander Glass for... More

As it was 15 degrees outside we were looking for an activity and found this remarkable glass factory. Gillinder Glass is well over 100 years old You enter through their show room. Currently, Gillinder glass makes commercial products such as the lights for runways. On occasion though, they have visiting glass makers come and make art glass. The store has... More

Went for a tour of this glass manufacturing plant and was so pleasantly surprised. Though they make mostly commercial glass products (runway lights, stadium lenses, etc.), they sometimes have artist's demonstration days when glass blowing artists make beautiful vases, bowls, ornaments, etc., right before your eyes. The gift shop is a spectacular display of household ornamental glass products. Plant sits... More

Very friendly people with deep knowledge and a great business story. Very interesting history and amazing real working factory tour. Worth every penny of the oh so reasonable price of admission. Can say enough positive things and the shop is full of interesting gift ideas.

Cool place. My boyfriend never went here so I took him to look around the gift shop. The other time I went here I took the tour. It was cool. I would return for more presents for people.

This museum/factory is tucked away in a residential neighborhood in Pt. Jervis; follow the signs to find it. At $5 the tour is very interesting, and a good value. It only takes place 3 times a day, if I remember correctly, 10:30 am, 12:30 and 2:30 pm. Timing it right will get you an interesting tour of the factory floor, where... More
