Only once have I've been to another ski resort and that ski resort was Belleayre. Thunder Ridge is only about 30 - 40 minutes North from us. This is a nice little ski area, but it could be improved. All the good trails are accessible from the Triple chairlift, in which a ride on it doesn't take that long. Avoid... More

This place was Mobbed! It's was very pricey for barely any experience. Ridiculous incline for beginners. Might as well find a golf course with snow. So crowded you can't do a thing. Don't waste ur money ski with a wii

It's small and no frills. Perfect for the beginner skier or young child. We enrolled our young daughter in a private 1:1 lesson and we were pleased with how well her instructor engaged with her. We would and will return.

Skiing on Martin Luther King Day. Con – Small hill. Under-5’s all over the place. Slow chairs. Crowds at ticket office, rental lines. Not the latest equipment. Could use better crowd control. Pro – OK Location - Metro North and shuttle to ski area – I do not have a car. Price. Cleanliness (even the men’s room). Rental equipment was... More

I called them December 1st and booked several skiing lessons for my kid - every Sunday morning in January and February. I was told that they don't have confirmation numbers and don't send confirmation emails but "they keep it all in order, don't you worry". We came for the first lesson today and surprise-surprise - no records of my reservations,... More

I went to Thunder Ridge for the first time and I was very unhappy with my experience with them. They are a very money hungry resort and hit you with a fee every chance they can. I was also extremely disappointed with conditions of the slopes, they do not take care of them at all. The food is less than... More

My visit started out great. We came for the afternoon arriving at the ticket window at 12:20 - I asked if there was a bunny hill rate as I had a 6yr and 9yr nephews with me and they would not be heading to the top. They said no, but if I waited till 12:45 the ticket rate dropped to... More

First off: we don't ski, we are not wealthy, and we aren't the sporty sort. Yet, we thought that we should give our kids some chance to learn what skiing is like, as part of their general education and launch into an unsuspecting world. They hit all the sweet spots: very reasonable package price for noticeably newer equipment to learn... More

Thunder Ridge is a small, family oriented ski area with 600 vertical feet and 100 acres of terrain. It has full snow making coverage so if it is cold enough, there is snow. This is a good place to learn to ski. Never ever packages are $99.00 for gear, lift tickets and lessons. It is close to NYC so the... More

We have visited Thunder Ridge on many occasions this year and have always had a fantastic time. My boys have learned to ski and snowboard there and the staff treats us like family. They remember my kids names from year to year and always make it fun. The area is small, but perfect for us because I feel safe letting... More
