My daughter served a mission here, so we had to come for a visit. Such a beautiful building and were greeted immediately by a missionary to take you on a tour and answer any questions you may have. Note: they are very busy in July due to high volumes of people attending the Hill Cumorah Pageant.

What a fun place! We watched a twenty minute video and my young kiddos kept entertained through the whole thing. They also had a longer video, but we didn't do that one. The missionaries working there were very helpful and sweet. There's three ways you can get to the top of Hill Cumorah: walk in a paved path, walk on... More

The views from the top of the Hill Cumorah are wonderful. It's the highest location in the area. Especially in the fall, with the turning of the leaves, it's well worth your time. The visitor's center is the first stop. The tour guides are friendly and accomodating. You are free to let them know what your time constraints are. They... More

This is very peaceful visit that is great for families and focusing on nature and the meaning of your life. I recommend going if you are at all close.

I'm not religious, let alone Morman. My family has always had a sick fascination with the details of most religions, the LDS faith in particular. Like the intricate details of most religions, those of the LDS church, founded in this country in the early 1800s, are strange to non-believers. We happened to see a highway sign for what I take... We were here on the off season, so we could drive up to the monument on the hill. You can always climb up there. It's a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. The information in the visitor's center is very helpful, but not necessary to access the hill and monument.

The guides there will explain all the events which have taken place in the area in the past 180 years or so. There is lots of history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which will interest both members and non members with replica houses and farm locations to add to the experience. The Hill Cumorah Pageant is... More

At the visitor center you are greeted by a Mormon missionary. You are free to look at the exhibits, which include some paintings and a stained glass panel showing scenes from Mormon history. There are small conference rooms for those who wish to inquire about the religion. There is a very steep climb up the hill, which offers an excellent... More

Luckily we have seen the Hill Cumorah a Pageant in the past many times but on this visit to the in-laws we just missed it! If you can make it during pageant it is well worth any juggling you have to do. The visitor center is amazing in its own right. The huge Christus greats you and they have various... More
