I love going to Fort Ontario both as a reenactor and as a normal visitor. It's beautiful to look out at the lake from the ramparts and the displays are great. The only thing I wish they'd improve upon is not ignoring other time periods....More

So many things to see and a great place just to sit on the shores of Lake Ontario. The fort was not open the day we were there but there was still plenty to see.

Visited right as the fort opened. The exhibits are mainly in buildings on the grounds. In each building are well organized exhibits. The Safe Haven Museum is located within walking distance so visits to both are easily done. There is on-site parking.

Very nice part of history! The rooms have the soldiers things in them, sounds. The people working there are so knowledgeable. So nice too! Oswego is/was such a great part of our Great State.

Nicely maintained and very helpful staff. They will even take those in need around in a golf cart so they can experience the upper level.
