Great place! Nice views of this Fella here. Also easily walkable trails, and well maintained. The guy in the photo liked the "perty leaves" especially.

Beautiful 100 plus feet high waterfall on the Salmon River. Well maintained crushed limestone trail to vantage points. Wheelchair accessible. Also has a very steep , winding trail to the pool at the bottom of the falls. Suggest a walking stick and good hiking shoes....More

The main trail along the bluff is very easy to walk and well maintained. It brings you to an overlook with a decent view of teh falls. About half way back, I decided to hike down the gorge trail to the base of the falls....More

This is one of our all time favorite un heralded falls. It out of the way but very rewarding. Over 100 ft high. One fun thing to do is search out the carving at the top of the falls.

There is plenty of parking very near the lookout to the falls. Pathways take you to two different lookouts to the falls from different points. You can also going down about 45 steps to stand at the top of the falls, a neat perspective. There...More

The Salmon River falls are easy to walk to, the trails are much improved from years gone by, with wide paths and a couple of nice spots that over look it. If you're lucky enough to go after a hard rain they are a sight...More

My bf and I visited the falls on Memorial Day. Nice day drive from Syracuse. Great views and nice access to the water. Wear appropriate foot wear. Definitely could've hiked more without sandals on.

This use to be a well kept secret among the locals. The only con to it now, is that more people visit . Under the ownership and supervision of the NYS DEC, a parking lot, walking paths that are handicapped accessible and stairways leading down to...More

Living in the flatlands of eastern Maryland means that there aren’t many if any waterfalls to go see. Recently on a trip to upstate New York I happened to mention to my son that seeing the beauty of nature at a waterfall was something that...More

The area of the falls was colder than we anticipated due to the wind chill, but still a terrific experience and view! Very well maintained by the state of New York, the falls are visible after a short easy walk. A little further down the...More

Yes, I took my rottweiler and he was fine. The wall down to the falls is a little difficult. I'd caution with smaller and older dogs though

Hello, The trail has a couple of wheel chair friendly overlooks of the falls. The trail is not paved, but is a fairly fine crushed stone that should not impact your trip
