Absolutely LOVE Lapland Lake!

My husband and I had visited Lapland Lake about 10 years ago for a day visit for cross country skiing (we were dating at the time). We found them "by accident" - we had wanted to take a day trip together for cross country skiing and found them via Google. On that day, we saw the cabins and just loved... More

Lapland Lake is a wonderful place to cross country ski with the whole family. Thanks to our amazing instructors: Martin and Terri, we were confident skiers after our lesson and enjoyed a wonderful day skiing the Adirondaks. The food and lodge was perfect and every was extremely friendly and accommodating. We cannot wait to go back in the Summer to... More

The Ski Center has a wood burning stove and a great sauna. Plenty of seating for a lot of people. Upstairs is a small cafe with a lot of seating. Trails are always very well groomed. Plenty of trails to pick from for every level of skier. Flat trails, hilly trails. If the lake is frozen you get to ski... More

The wide trails are nearly all one-way, and wind through the woods, up and down hills and along a large stream. The tall trees block the wind preserve the snow cover. Watch out on sunny spring days because the changes from light to shadow can cause the snow conditions to change quickly. I've visited three times this winter, and conditions... More

Nice trails for classic and ski skating for all levels. My husband grew up ski skating in St. Moritz, Switzerland and he enjoyed the groomed trails at Lapland. I did not grow up ski skating so took a lesson (Susan was patient and very encouraging) and afterwards went around on the beginner trails. Lovely wooded area, trails and friendly people.

Returned for the first time under the new owners, and enjoyed a great afternoon on the finest groomed trails in upstate NY. Favorite activity, favorite trails, and my favorite trail system. Hope they can keep it going!

Although I am from New Jersey, my trail name is Adirondack Bob. With that disclosure out of the way, I had a most enjoyable initial visit to Lapland. It did however take me a couple runs to get a grip on the Finnish trail names (at one point I thought I was on the Machu Picchu trail, looking for the... More

We just returned to Philadelphia from a week of cross country and snowshoeing at Lapland Lake. We stayed in one of the cozy and comfortable cottages and enjoyed daily skiing immediately outside our door. Although the cottages are heated, we enjoyed warming up by the wood stove. Wood was delivered daily to our cottage. We have visited annually over the... More

I have been a cross country skier for over 40 years, visiting trails all over the east and parts of the west. Lapland Lake is a standout- for the quality of the trails, the terrific grooming, and the amount of snow they receive. I have visited many times over the years. Most of the trails are one way, and brilliantly... More
