Great place for a panorama photo of the town of Oia and the coastline of Santorini. It's a short walk from the main area but worth the views. I didn't think the ruins were much to see, it is mainly for the vantage point. Can...More

This is easily accessed at the end of the main path along the caldera side, and worth the trip since it's the only viewing area for both the Oia caldera and sunset-side (hence its popularity after 4pm'ish). Great for photos, though not really a destination...More

On the eastern part of the town of Oia you’ll find this extremely picturesque site that makes up one the countless photo opportunities that dot the coast from north to south. Covering the coastal view and that of those island off shore there aren’t many...More

It can get very crowded come sunset time but if you go before then you will be fine. Great spot to take pictures.

The ruins were very easy to find in Oia. This was one of the most picturesque vantage points of Oia and the bay below. We went around 10 am and it was just starting to get crowded when we left around noon.

Worth walking out for the views as this is at one end of the island at its highest point. Not much to see inside the castle.

It is worth your time and effort to visit the castle ruins. The site is not very large; however, the views are spectacular. The ruins are a short walk from the main street and can be quite busy. My suggestion is visit Oia early in...More

This is not far from the main path through Oia and is worth a visit, especially just before sunset. It offers a great view of the sunset for pictures, but be aware that it gets very crowded around sunset. Not much remains of the ruins...More

The walk to this castle is up stairs, but it is not difficult. It is definitely worth a visit! Such a magnificent view and a wonderful little monastery at the top!

Oia is northwest of the Island where the Byzantine Castle Ruins are, and Akrotiri is in the southeast and you need to drive to get there. Enjoy your trip!
