Very Nice !
Aug. 2021 • Family
This is the complemebt to do with the Etretat hills.

Quicker (10mn walk), it is a nice one as well with a great sea view.

You cannot visit the church but from there you can visit the famous Etretat Gardens and take the city train to go downtown.

Dainty church

This little church is perched upon a slight elevation; one has to climb uphill. The church was shut when I visited the place, but the location itself offers a breathtaking view of the sea.

Very beautiful church and views
Dec. 2018 • Family
Chapelle Notre Dame de la Garde is a stone church located in the surroundings of Etretat, a tiny town in the coast of Normandy, in France. It is a very beautiful building located on the cliffs, which surrounds the town, so the full view with the church, cliffs and the ocean is very good.

Worth visiting for the views
Jun. 2019 • Couples
The church is not really special, although quite pretty. But the views of the town of Etretat and the cliffs are really spectacular. Walking up the hill takes about half an hour and it is a bit steep in places, but you can also take a tourist train. The tour costs 6 euro and it lasts 50 minutes, including the 15 minute stop at the church. But you can also take your time, wait for another train fare back and enjoy your stay high above Etretat. Just remember that it can be quite windy there.

The vista point is amazing.
Jul. 2018 • Family
The church it self is kind of ugly one, but you should come here for the vista point. It is a easy hike for a great landscape. We couldn't find the access for the parking lot but there is one up there.

Go up to the the top of the cliffs at Etretat and take a stroll. Stunning views of the English Channel and Etretat Beach. Lovely Chapel on top.

Picturesque View
Sep. 2018 • Couples
The church itself has been converted into a space for artwork etc, when we visited it had a display of large black sticks/seaweed art with no explanation in English although there was audio in French.
Be sure to catch the little tourist train up to this spot as the view is worth it even if the church is shut. If you don't get the train be prepared for a hike!

Pretty Church in stunning landscape but very limited opening hours.
Aug. 2018 • Couples
It's a cute little chapel, built in a modern-ish 20th century style that looks more fitting for Iceland than France. The location is absolutely breathtaking, high on the cliffs above Etretat with a beautiful view of the bay and the cliffs on the other side. There is ample parking and a public toilet nearby.

However, as far as I can tell the opening hours are *extremely* limited. The only clue was a sign on the door saying Mass is held at 10am on Wednesdays, so Wednesday mornings might be the only time you can get inside.
