Santa Maria is a lovely vibrant town with white sand beaches which are stretching for miles. You can see some movement of people around this town but if you wonder off just a little bit, it will belong all to you. :)

A couple of simple shack bars and a small shop for bits and pieces, endless golden fine sand and hardly anyone around, this was a busy day. It’s a short walk from both sets of hotel groupings- edge and outside town. A place for a drink and unwind - breath in what life should be.

Fantastic beach. Very clean. Turquoise sea with large waves Bar & sunbeds on beach. Lifeguards on hand to help people when they got knocked over by waves.

The beach was clean and not busy despite lots of people being in the local area. The sand was clean as was the Ocean, albeit it was a bit cold to swim in.

Fascinating watching the locals bring in the catch of Tuna, shell fish and all and sundry fish. Interesting to watch the catch being gutted, weighed and sold. 5 euro a kilo of Tuna. Lots of people watching and other activity.
