This was a good experience, floating on the salt water is a relaxing experience, well until you get it in your eyes!. Our trip was on an island tour, and at the end and as a result this was very rushed. Other than this, the changing and showering facilities onsite are not very good, and could use improvement when tourist... More

Fun to be able to float around in the lake. Jelly shoes would make the experience easier, but you could always use flip flops. Just be careful with your belongings when you are floating. A local boy was following us in the water, and he stole my daughter's goggles. The rep who was with us, confronted the boy and got... More

Went as part of our Thomson holiday and really enjoyed it.....great to be able to float around and there is a decent bar on site to get a nice cold beer afterwards. Changing facilities are limited but just about enough....all in all its well worth a visit

First time visiting sea salt "mine". You can see a traditional way of sourcing salt, you can even take a swim, just need to paint for shower and towels if you want.

Went as part of the Island Tour which covers many other parts of the island so was a great day out. We got to spend about 45 minutes in there which was plenty of time being so hot. Hubby went in the salt pool and enjoyed it. Went with a tour guide who was fab. If you can do the... More

We visited as part of the island tour. Changing facilities with very cold showers to use afterwards. Bring your jelly shoes and a towel as it's rocky around the edges! Lovely to wade in and just float, however don't rub your eyes!

Great excursion as part of the island tour. The salt mine was founded by the French, but is no longer operated. Equipment is still there rusting. Great feeling to float in the warm salty water, similar to the Dead Sea experience. Bring some fresh water with you in case salt gets into your eyes. Shower costs 1€, tickets bought from... More

We visited the salt mines. When you arrive take the time to read the history board just before the entrance as it is fascinating. The wooden structures were actually an early 19th century cable car which ran the salt from the mines to the beach to be loaded on ships. Once inside there are some great photo opportunities. Make sure... More

We visited this attraction as part of an island tour, if you go independently it costs 5 euros. It is what it is, a salt lake in a volcanic crater. It's a great opportunity to float effortlessly in salty water apparently good for your skin. The water is warm and the sensation was very enjoyable, although 15 minutes is plenty.... More

This was great fun. I have never swam, or tried to, in concentrated salt water before. Its a really strange feeling - but fun. Showers and café on location. I would avoid a coach trip but go as early as you can. This way you have the lake, the showers and the café almost to yourself. When the coaches arrive... More
