Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The beach is wery nice and inviting to take beautifull photos or take evening walk (be careful, sunset happens fast) but not suitable for swimming (maybe if you are competetion level swimmer) because of really big, unpredictable wawes. Im good swimmer and got knocked of my legs pretty much immediately and knocked over some. Nothing happened to me, but it was not enjoyable. You can waddle in the watter around knee high, but deeper is hazard. There was never green flag at guard post the week I spent here

If you are at the RIU Karamboa, take a walk left along the beach for 25 minutes, go round a little headland and sand dune and you find it. A wonderful tiny little beach bar with the most stunning setting. The beer is cold, cheap and you can just sit and chill on the beach and drink it. Don't be lazy, have a walk and support the locals!

We were able to walk to this beach from the Riu Karamboa hotel in Boa Visita and did this on several occasions. There is a lovely beach bar there with white wooden sun beds and parasols which you can hire for just two euros a day. Beach is just a couple of euros a bottle. The restaurant is very clean and food is great. A lovely safe beach which tends to be calmer than some of the larger waves further down the beach. Would thoroughly recommend a visit to this beach/bar.

We stayed in the Iberostar Club Boavista overlooking this amazing beach. The beach is enormous and really really beautiful. The only thing to regret, if yo take the 45 minutes walk from the hotel towards the end of the beach, you´ll find at the end a lot of plastics brought by the sea. This hurts!!! Please do not leave anything at the beach beside your footprints. And if possible help to remove the plastics from the sea. Im afraid that amazing peaces of the world like this may not be there for our kids in the future.

I attended 2 of the themed nights and thoroughly enjoyed them both. So so much food, esp at the bbq. Quality of food at the romantic night was outstanding. Definitely recommend even just to call in for a drink in the afternoon.

we stayed at the hotel karamboa and decided to have a walk down the beach ,so just about 30 minutes stroll we came across this Robinson cruso beach hut ,white sands, hammocks,
sand dunes just perfect .
stopped for a drink very reasonable at 2euros a bottle , prosseco 5 euros and one of the freshest fish dishes for 17 euros ,you must try , we saw them bring in fresh lobster and we was eating one of them within 25 minutes beautiful ,so if you want to try something different then you must give it a try you will not be disappointed .

We found the bar on the third day of our stay at Riu Karamboa which was about 25mins walk away and then visited every day for the rest of the fortnight.
The bar is a great place to chill out for an hour or so and the surrounding view is simply fantastic.
All the staff are lovely, especially Pia who chats to all customers in 3 or 4 different languages and Samba the maintenance man who always met us with a cheery wave and smile as we walked up the beach towards the bar.
Prices were very good, we didn't eat at the bar but the food I saw looked lovely.
Looking forward to visiting again next year.

We stopped here on our walks from the Riu Karamboa nearly every other day, absolutely loved it.
The staff were lovely and very welcoming. We decided to spend an evening with great food /drinks and entertainment one night and they even come and pick you up and then drop you back to your hotel after the night has finished.
The meal was lovely and one of the nicest we have tasted and although a bit pricey, well worth the money for the quality.
Best lobster and steak and a pudding to die for.
Definitely worth a visit
