Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sunday 14th November and we were on a quad bike tour of the south west region of the Island.
We had been to visit the amazing Santa Monica Beach, our first stop, we then sped across the dunes to our next port of call which was here.
Having been here before we did not think that we could be impressed by here again, however, when we arrived we were amazed, once more, by what we saw.
Astounding rock formations and caves, which had been sculpted by nature and the elements over the centuries, were along the beach.
We clambered over the rocks and walked into the caves in total amazement at these wonderful structures.
This is another beautiful beach with white sand and turquoise sparkling sea, however the rocks and caves are the main attraction here.
As the current and waves were not as powerful here as at Santa Monica Beach, it was possible for us to have a swim here.

Monday 1st July and we were on a 4 hour quad bike adventure which took us to the south west coast of Boa Vista.
Our time on the amazing Santa Monica Beach was up and it was time to move on to our next stop which was this beach, Praia da Varandinha, which was a short distance along the coast.
On the way we drove past the coastal headland Ponta Varandinha, the most western point of the Island. There is a small lighthouse there and Praia da Varandinha lies to the north of it. The lighthouse is visible from Santa Monica and Varandinha beaches.
While we were blown away by the beautiful sand, massive sand dunes and the size of Santa Monica Beach, this beach with its rugged coastline and caves was spectacularly something else.
The beach with it's golden sands are surrounded by the most incredible coastline and caves, really needs to be seen, cannot be adequately described.
The beach forms part of the protected area Morro de Areia Nature Reserve, there was some turtle conservation work been undertaken on part of the beach, which we stayed clear of.
The nearest village is Povoação Velha, which is 5 kilometres to the east, we did stop there on our way down to the coast..
This beach is situated must do when visiting Boa Vista.
