Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The tour guide on the trolley said this part of the park is often said to be the most romantic. I can definitely see that. It's kind of tucked away from the main part of the falls and there are several bridges connecting these little islands. I can see where the flames of young love are fanned by beautiful scenery in an easy, short little walk.

Driving around Niagara Falls, went out to Goat Island and stopped at Three Sisters Islands, which is basically three small islands off Western side and named after three daughters of General Parkhurst Whitney.
The islands are a cute place for a nice walk and enjoy nature. The day we were out we saw a number of seagulls and a couple of mallards swimming around. It was cold but I love hearing the water go over the rocks and the small falls that feed into Niagara. It can be very relaxing and you can see the Canadian side from these islands also.
In nicer weather, a good place for a picnic, bird watching or just a nice stroll and they have bathrooms nearby.

We have visited Niagara Falls several times over the years and it seems to change slightly by season but this is the first time we visited Three Sisters Island. The amount of water flowing down the river made this trip different from the others. Access the island through Niagara State Park was easy...bypass the paid parking area and go straight to the island where parking is free. The paths on the island are wide and not crowded. The view from the island to the top of the Horseshoe Falls is truly incredible. Great place to spend an hour.

This little offshoot of Goat Island is a great little spot. While picnicking on Goat Island this is one of the locations I took a walk to. It is a great spot for another view of the Canadian skyline and the Canadian Rapids.

It was freezing wet weather. Definitely needed to dress warm. There is free limited parking on Goat island so we parked and walked around. Its a beautiful view of the birds and the rapids. We could see Canada across the border and lovely sunsets.

We just happened upon this little surprise while driving the scenic route on the Lake. Parking is limited to 20 mins.. but if you hustle it's all you need.. there is longer parking very near by in separate lot. The closeness to the rushing waters is very exciting. The teens we had with us were truly impressed. WE all were..

We hit this site last after visiting the main attractions in Niagara Falls Park. We drove around and were able to find a parking spot in the free parking lot (3). From there it was just a short walk over a couple of bridges to see the mighty rapids. It’s a quiet area with many amazing views.

We walked around as part of the park. It was so pretty. There are signs to keep you safe. The water is powerful and fast moving. We took some awesome pictures and may have to go back again just to look at nature’s power.

Hi! Is it better to hike for bit on goat island and three sisters before or after going to the falls and doing a maid of the mist boat ride? We are leaving from Rochester so what would make more sense geographically and with parking?
Written 12 June 2018
The parking lot is near all of that. You will have to walk to different places because of road anyway. We took trails as we went to different parts. Maybe take the boat when you want a break from walking around. We didn't go on the boat. The parking was cheaper in the park than out on the streets. They were charging $20-25 out on the streets. We paid $10 in the park. Hope this helps.

No, connected to Goat Island access is free.

Can we bring wine to our marriage ceremony on Three Sister Island?
Written 21 July 2017
I would contact the Niagara Visitors center in NY. They are very helpful there! Congratulations

Is this park stroller friendly? Would we be able to take a stroller on the bridges that connect the islands?
Written 7 June 2017
Yes it is, although the rushing currents barely a few feet away would advise not to allow young children running around unsupervised.

hi, is there any free parking near the 3 sisters islands? I see some parking space just in front of the 3 sister islands, but I am not sure if it free?
we just go to the 3 sisters islands (not go to any part of the park, so don't want to park in the paid parking lot which is far from 3 sisters islands), thanks
Written 29 August 2016
Sorry but I just saw your questions today. There is a large lot just past the islands but I believe it is a paid lot as well.
Written 14 September 2016
if visiting the 3 sisters islands, where can we park the car? and how long need to spend to walk through the islands? is the path stroller accessible? thanks
Written 24 August 2016
In the summer months, parking on the island fills up fast. So the time of day that you go can change where you need to park. There is other parking in the area. There is a tram that circles the national park and you can purchase a day pass to ride all day. The trails are stroller friendly. And you can spend as much time as you like. I normally would advise a minimum of an hour depending on the age of your children and if they like to walk or be outside. Personally, I could spend two to three hours enjoying the paths and scenery.
