A huge expanse of natural beauty, this oldest state park in the U.S. offers biking, fishing and cross-country skiing, and contains plenty of hiking and walking trails, including the Niagara Gorge Trail System, which affords great views of both the falls and the gorge.

The roar of the cascading water produced exhilaration that cannot be described. Although the off-season visit had many attractions closed, the small crowds allowed us to get up close to the Falls.

This is kept up pretty well. A lot of changes to increase security and access from the old days but that is necessary now that the worlds gone more crazy. Not the old freedoms we enjoyed. Prisoners in our own country.

A nice spot right at the edge of the Niagara Falls - you can safely stand within 10 feet of the rushing waters. We visited in Fall 2016 (August) and had a great time. We did two visits, one to view the fireworks at night (they happen twice a week) and once as a day-trip. Great experiences. Do not miss.

We went over Labor Day weekend, which I would NOT recommend. The line for the Maid of the Mist boat tour was the longest I've ever seen anywhere, and that includes Disney World or any amusement park. There must have been thousands waiting. The good part is that it moved fairly quickly and, although the day was very hot, it... More

You get very little of a view of the Falls from the park in the winter. The best viewing platform area is closed because of potential of ice on the ground and walkways.

The State does a wonderful job with this park. It is clean and affordable attractions. They offer lots of walking paths as well as a trolley bus system to take you around the park and explain what you are looking at as you go. Many markers with explanations as you go. Places to eat. History at every turn. In nice... More

.I love going to the Niagara Falls State Park because it is closer to the waters and there is a lot of picnic areas and just places where you can sit, relax and listen to the water cascading through the falls. You can actually see more on this side than if you go to the other side (Canadian) of the... More

The surrounding area is need of a make over but this park is clean and easy to walk around. The walk down to the falls could be challenging for some but it is worth it. There are car parks and a bus is also available. In winter parts of the park is closed because it can be dangerous near the... More
