It’s huge. About a mile and a half long and ¾ of a mile wide, over 500 acres. Keep that in mind! On my visit they forced you to park at the North end so it was quite the hike up to museum hill and it was a very hot day. The tram helped, but it only runs once an... More

This unique park is a true gem! I've never been so enthralled by art before seeing all the structures spread out in the ginormous park. It's a definite must see for all ages.

One of the most stunning places I've ever been. I wish I could live here. Take the tram ride and then explore your favorite pieces on foot or on the bikes you can rent on the grounds. Don't miss the Storm King Wall. Amazing.

The art center is a very large property dotted with outdoor art, primarily large sculptures. You could spend 4-5 hours if visiting on foot, less if you bring or rent a bicycle. I would recommend you bring your own bikes (rentals are over and above the $15 admission price), and bring a blanket and picnic lunch to make a great... More

My daughter and I visited Storm King on a perfect September day. I was ambivalent about visiting a park with huge metal sculptures but I'm game for anything. What a surprise. I had never seen large sculptures as they should be displayed amid the beauty of rolling hills, meadows and huge mature trees. The dimensions were perfect. I would suggest... More

It's not so much that size matters, but really "Art" matters. Here you will find art that compliments nature and scenery that compliments the art. We went on the hottest day of the year, but had no choice because that was our only day to visit. I would advise picking a cool day in the fall. The Autumn colors must... More

Wear good walking shoes, bring water, and have a most peculiar and stimulating experience. The trails are broad and well maintained and take you through magnificent natural landscapes punctuated near and far with unique and bizarre visual surprises. Each sculpture is an experience:. Walk around them, look up into them, see the sky or trees in a new way, notice... More

We visited the storm King Art Center on the September long weekend, since we travel from Brooklyn to Storm King , we finally arrived there around 1:30 p.m. As we have not eaten, we find out that there is only one outdoor café on site which is 10 minutes walk from the parking lot. It was a very hot day... More

We visited the art center on a rainy day and were still so impressed. There is a trolley you can ride (check the schedule when you get there). Beautiful, huge sculptures, many commissioned specifically for the location. It would be great to rent a bike and spend the day riding the paths and viewing the artwork. Highly recommend a visit!
