We were driving back from the lighthouse and stumbled upon this beach and decided to pay a visit. It was the most fabulous beach I've seen in the New York area! If you know of any others, please let me know! It was not overcrowded,...More

If you can get in, it is worth the price. I suspect it gets quite crowded in the summer. Paved parking, bathrooms, changing areas, beach, clean soft sand, salt water, waves, and a shower to wash the sand and salt off of you before you...More

I'm sure the area is beautiful; however, the mosquitos were so unbelievably aggressive and swarming that it was impossible to do the hike. We doused ourselves in OFF but those suckers didn't care. My husband had about 40 around his head and back at any...More

This place is great. We parked a camper just over the sand dunes from the beach. The general store had movies for the kids every night and offerred good, basic food options. The facilities were clean and there was a playground for the kids

Sorry for the late reply. Not sure tents vs rvs. Ocean view is tough, because the sand dunes are very high. The block the view of the ocean. But lovely and clean.
