I was very disappointed that I paid $11 to climb the lighthouse but no one told me that I will not be able to go outside on the top.Whats the point of going up the stairs and not able to see view from the top??

Everyone of all ages should go to Montauk Lighthouse at least once. Great views, historic, wonderful grounds. Even if decide not to climb lighthouse (although should be done at least once), there is a museum, views, grounds. Been going for 40 years and still enjoy.

Visited the lighthouse with our friends and all thought it was well worth the trip. Climbed to the top for an excellent view of 3 states (N.Y., Conn., R. I.) well appointed gift shop, and excellent views of the surrounding area. Several surf fisherman there...More

This place is out of the way but it is worth the drive. Have been to many light houses on the East coast & this one is special. About 11 stories to the top but not a bad climb. You can walk down to the...More

Defintely worth the trip from NYC across entire Long Island. Don´t mind the roads, they will never be a German Autobahn. But then again the atmosphere surrounded by the Atlantic. On clear days you can see Martha´s Vineyard..

A very pretty view. We have visited and climbed several lighthouses. This one is very doable! Beautiful!

Great place to visit with the family. We took a walk down to the water and also climbed the stairs to the top of the lighthouse. It was a little hot and steep but was definitely worth seeing! The views were fantastic. Just an FYI,...More

I had the ranch burger and my wife had the lobster roll. Food was great and the view perfect. Eating outside and watching the boats was relaxing. It seems we always meet folks from out of state or the country, which just makes it better

The Lighthouse and its museum is a great way to see out over the cliffs as well as a great activity for a semi-rainy, windy day. The museum is small and easy to do in one hour. The climb to the lighthouse is not too...More

From memory:- Public parking opposite this venue is $8.00. Entrance to the lighthouse is $10.00 for adults, cheaper rates for children & I think senior citizens/pensioners. Admission fee includes climbing the tower to the... More

I did see several dogs leashed on the property. I do believe they can go in the lighthouse though
