We've been here a couple of times and it is always stunning. The history and exhibits are interesting, but it's the views that will take your breath away. Such a wonderful vantage point and on a nice day you can see miles and miles. Well...More

Sunrise near the grounds of the Lighthouse are amazing even on a cloudy day! If traveling by car you must park in the lot but there’s only a charge after 8 am ($8). Definitely a worth getting up early for.

The lighthouse located just at the eastern end of Long Island. The light house is quite an interesting place to visit, stating the history of the lighthouse and its guardians.. The scenic beauty around is awesome as well.

This place is fun for all ages. There is a small museum inside that tells you all about the history of the lighthouse and, of course, you can climb to the top. The climbing is pretty easy, 134 stair to be exact. Once you reach...More

Went here because the weather wasn't that good for a beach day. We loved the lighthouse tour! It was very interesting and the walk up the light house was neat! Can be a challenge for some, but the lighthouse offers a video of the view.

We enjoyed a quick visit to the Montauk lighthouse. There is an $8 fee to park in the Montauk Point State Park parking lot across the street from 8:00am to 4:00pm. I would suggest going after 4pm for free parking. Then entering the Lighthouse you'll...More

I encourage my college students attending ESL programs to explore what NY offers. That includes a day trip to Montauk. I usually arrange for everyone to sign up for one of the LIRR Getaway packages celebrating Montauk's Lighthouse family day weekend in August. The fee...More

Could only walk around, as the entrance gates were closed. Well kept property of this historic side. .Check the hours, before making this trip. You can go down to the water through picturesque bushes, but won’t be able to climb up the hill .

Depends on the time of year. I can't think of any place in Montauk itself that would be only $200 a night in July/August.

We saw dogs in the public area around the park but I would doubt they are allowed at the lighthouse itself.
