We stopped through Manlius on our road trip through upstate New York as part of a detour to do some genealogical research. We stopped by this museum both on a Sunday, Aug. 28th afternoon and then returned the next day Aug 29th, again in the early afternoon. It was closed both times. If you are an area resident, or a local history buff, this is a must stop. Lot's of old documents as well as artifacts of the area.

It's very small, but the staff is super-friendly and the exhibits are interesting. "Reviews must be at least 100 characters." how bossy, TripAdvisor! :-(

The people at MHS really know the details, so if you have questions you should ask. The society is housed in a small bungalow type house next to the old high school. We went for the silent auction and Christmas tree judging. Cute, but it does seem that funding is short based on what little else was inside.
