Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We liked the place a lot, but without the guide we took probably it wouldn’t be so interesting. There are a few turtles the kids enjoyed to see (patting is not allowed) , deers and a colonial house which was quite empty and not well maintained .

Well it’s a garden. Some nice trees and it’s lovely to walk around the garden. Don’t expect much but it’s not disappointing...

You don’t need a guide to visit Curepipe . It is an absolute waste of money . You can just walk around or even use our public transportation.

Don't bother, Not a great deal to see. Was well laid out but you could do whole garden in about 30 mins. Situated quite a way outside Curepipe, with no buses. We walked it but some people may need a taxi to get there

I had read this is the second-best Botanical Garden after Kew in London – NOT true. This is a small BG; you can cover this in 45 minutes. On the way, I am afraid you pass both a small flock of deer and tortoises which by no means have great living space and area.
There are no toilet facilities and no café facilities. Nice to see the gardens, but do not expect anything like Kew Gardens, London.

We visited curepipe as a whole including the gardens
The markets were brilliant , so was the high street
You don’t get ripped off here as they charge Mauritian prices & not tourist ones
We used Book your own licences taxi - we used raj Ramdin +230 5 779-2519 @ MUR 3500 for driver with car for 8 hours all inclusive (£57 )
He was brilliant!

I went there only twice and will certainly never go to the garden alone. People often forget their manners. There are several cases of voyeurism every day over there.

A large sub tropical gardens which requires a lot of walking with few places to sit down. There are giant tortoises in and enclosure as well as some deer. A pond with large lily pads which when we went were out of season so not at their best. Toilets are few and far between. There are guided walks which you can participate in. We thought there might have been more flowering trees and shrubs which would have brought some colour to the place. It's worth a visit.

Visited Maurities on a days excursion from a cruise ship.Huge area to cover wth a very verdant lush tree and shrub area. A large Turtile sanctuary and fantastic wet area with huge lily pads. Very different to most gardens. However. Only 3 toilets for ladies with very lengthy. Waits for all toilets.following the gardens we visited a lovely indoor crafts market before returning to the ship.

A very nice place for friends and family also for couples. Very near to Curepipe, around 5 mins drive. The small river, lake and trees take your stress away...
