A very humbling experience, yes Blue Nile is blue in color and the water was quite calm, I sighted an hippo during the tour, it added the spark to the visit.

It's big, clear of debris, has a hippo or two, some islands and a few birds. A hired boat will get you to the Zegie peninsula and into where the Blue Nile begins. Visually its not that great but reflecting on the old explorers' struggles...More

Nothing special to see here. Touristic and overpriced. We saw hippos ans then went to the island with a church on it. I didnt even bother to check it out. Very dissapointing

Beautiful painted churches to visit and coffee growing wild. Some wildlife and birds. Lots of craft for sale in village. Lake crossing and hippo viewing very pleasant!
