We took our bikes into Lake George with the intention of biking everywhere. Instead we only used them obce to ride into the Bikeway on one of our days there - and we were not disappointed - MOSTLY! As long as you stay within the...More

The Warren County Bikeway is easy to find due to excellent markings and location. The start is from Lake George across from the Steam Boat Company. It is a wide pawed path, however the first couple of miles were moderate uphill. We took our two...More

We walk this bike path quite a bit and really love the spot near Glen Lake, at Ash Drive. It is one of our favorite parts! If you walk north toward Rt 149 you will be pleasantly surprised with the brook that runs along side...More

Two important issues: 1) This is not a bike path, as there are many encounters with cars. 2) This is not a flat ride as there are many ascents on the first half from Lake George Lake to Glens Falls Village, from 3 to 5%,...More

We had such a nice ride! Shaded, clean, and hilly for lots of fun! We did an hour each way and we could have continued but it was too much.

We just did a 10-mile round trip with our 6 and 9 year old kids on the bike trail. It has a nice mix of hills and flats. It's mostly in the woods so it's not too hot even on those summer days. We have...More

Throughout the years visiting the region the bikepath is always a must do. We've biked down to Glens Falls and enjoyed the experience. The only downside is that stretch has quite a few street crossings and a little confusing. The last few years we have...More

Rode 11 miles from start in Lake George. Really nice bike path with only minimal street connections to deal with. Not much scenery and not along lake but a pleasant wooded ride with manageable uphills. Two ice cream stops about 8 and 8 1/2 miles...More

The bikeway is beautiful. The pavement is super smooth. There are two catches, though. 1) This is not a rail trail, which means that you will encounter hills. It is uphill for the first two miles or so out of Lake George. 2) Portions of...More

The bike trail is not well-known and we use it frequently to bike. You do have to be aware of 'clueless' novices who stop in the middle of the path and don't watch children carefully. Additionally, there are those rude folks who insist on riding...More
