We enjoyed the cruise around lake george.... awesome staff on the boat with options for food and drink. We walked the strip and enjoyed ben and jerrys ice cream, small town type shops and hit up an arcade that the kids loved. The area did not have a party atmosphere, just a breath taking array of beauty and history. We... More

Came up for Saturday fun with family fro. Long Island. The walk out on the lake was great to see a total panoramic view of the lake valley. Watching the fireworks from the lake was also amazing. The downtown was still busy with people and the winter events were interesting enough to entertain 4 teens for a few hours. Looking... More

beautful lake and surroundings. not a fancy kind of place, but plenty of comfortable mid priced cottages and motels on the water. there are also a variety of home rentals as well.

The town is buzzing with activities! There are alot of fun things to do from riding ATV's; Horse drawn carriages; Ice Sculptures; wine tasting; bbq cook offs. Every weekend in February is a carnival of fun for everyone. It is a fun quaint town to get away and enjoy the winter!!

Like the outdoors? There's plenty here. Like boating, water skiing, parasail rides, swimming ?.. it's all here. Like shopping, tourist attractions and all sorts of dining? It's here. Your best bet is to get accommodations slightly away from the center of town. Favor the motels along Lakeshore drive towards Diamond Point or Bolton.

2 of grandchildren and my sister certainly enjoyed the boat ride and the good food at lake George. I highly recommend the boat ride if you have never been to lake George.
