This was tough, real tough. Incline the entire way. I almost cried twice but then I saw some old people coming down so I felt like if they could do it so could I. They had water up top so that helped. Great views and worth it but be prepared to hate yourself while going up. Good luck!

A moderately challenging hike at times but only takes about an hour and a half to hike to the summit and 45 minutes to hike down. Started at the trail head on Smith street which takes you over I87 on a footbridge before the trail starts to head up the mountain. Red trail markers mark the trail every 50 feet... More

Once in lake George it's really only less than a 5 mile drive to the top. So if you're just driving it's probably less than an hour trip. The three turnouts are very close together. The best views are from the third turnout. Great panorama. We weren't dressed for hiking (flip flops) so we took the free shuttle to the... More

There are 3 scenic overlooks #1 not so good #2 the best view of the lake. #3 lake and surrounding mountains. The summit did not have a very good view because of the trees. You can ride a bus to the summit or you can walk about 5.min. We rode the bus up an walked down. Nice diner there. !0.00... More

The hike takes only about 3 hours, but is certainly challenging at times. Shoes with good grip made all the difference because a lot of the trail is open rock. It's a lot of fun, but I wouldn't recommend taking small children up. The trail is marked relatively well, but if you don't pay good attention you'll end up on... More

it's $10 per car to head up this winding scenic road with parking areas along the way for beautiful view of Lake George. once you get to the top, you can walk up to summit (5 minutes) or take the free shuttle up. we always take a picnic basket up as it's perfect backdrop to a picnic lunch.

This is a breath taking drive up the mountain. There are different stops to get out and take in the view. The third stop visitors are allowed to take a tram up to the highest peak. The sight is amazing
