Recommend the 10 am Mass in the summer. The church gets warm by noon Mass. Spent an hour before mass and the time flies.

This is a gorgeous basilica. The stained glass windows are amazing. And, the incredible statues of the stations of the cross are incredible. It’s worth a visit if you are in the area.

Wonderful quiet place to spend an hour. Dome is stunning. Statuary is impressive. Church is active so make sure you don’t visit during mass. We have visited before but it was worth a return trip. Reminded me of places we have visited in Italy.

I have been to Italy, visited many of the beautiful churches and basilicas there. This place takes a back seat to none of them! A truly amazing building that has to be seen to be believed. A Lackawanna miracle.
